Why do conductive slip rings industrial need to be ventilated?

Conductive slip rings are used as wire connectors in rotating electromechanical systems. One end is connected to stationary equipment and the other end is connected to rotating equipment. The main function of the conductive slip ring is to solve the problem of wire entanglement during the 360-degree rotation of the equipment. If the wire is connected directly to the rotating part, the problem of wire entanglement will occur when the mechanical part continuously rotates 360 degrees without restriction. The pneumatic slip ring is a special conductive slip ring that can directly transmit signals to the inside of the rotor, thus avoiding the complex cable routing process. This design effectively reduces the failure rate and resistance during signal transmission, thereby improving signal quality. In addition, pneumatic slip rings can also convert static media sources into dynamic media sources, including gas, vacuum, oil, water, signals, Ethernet, USB CCLINK servo signals, etc.

The reason why miniature through hole slip ring need ventilation is to solve the problem of heat and gas accumulation caused by friction.

When the conductive slip ring rotates, a certain amount of heat will be generated due to friction. In addition, the slip ring may also cause gas accumulation during use. These gases may come from volatiles on the friction surface, gases produced by evaporation of the lubricant, or other external pollutants. If the conductive slip ring does not have a ventilation design, the accumulated gas will cause the slip ring seal to fail when the internal pressure increases, thus affecting its performance and life.

Therefore, by installing a ventilation device in the conductive slip ring, the heat can be effectively dissipated and the accumulated gas can be eliminated to ensure the normal operation and reliability of the conductive slip ring.
